Hello, World.

Greetings, greetings, one and all.  Welcome to our new home.

Let me say this, dearest reader.  You know how it is when you are building - you pick the plans, find the perfect building site, peruse carpet samples with a lovely cappuccino, and mark the date on the calendar when you can turn the key on your brand-spanking-new place.  Then, of course - the sewer line doesn't meet code, the paint color you picked for 90% of the house is discontinued, the neighbor backs over your half-built fence, you have to start selling plasma to cover the budget overruns, and when the day finally comes, you move into a half-finished place that's more Sheetrock than Navajo White and you can't flush the toilet in the master bathroom.

That's where we are, folks.  My deadline to move into this new site has arrived, but the dust has yet to settle and we are still under construction.  So pardon our dust, and try to control your breathless anticipation over our continuing evolution.

That being said, if you are joining us from Kat's On Fire, I'm thrilled to see you.  If you aren't, I highly suggest you grab your Snuggie and check out last year's blog.  It will give you a glimpse of what you are getting yourself into.

I will see you around the block - such wondrous adventures are in store for us both.
